We collaborate with over two thousand small-scale organic farmers and producer groups affiliated with our organization in Sri Lanka. These farmers are located in seven out of nine provinces in Sri Lanka. Our initiative encourages these farmers to transition to organic practices and partner up with fair-trade principles. • Water Efficiency: Vertical farms use hydroponic or aeroponic systems, which consume significantly less water compared to traditional farming methods. This is crucial in the UAE, where water is a scarce resource.
• Space Optimization: By utilizing vertical space, these farms can produce a higher yield per square meter, making it feasible to grow crops in urban areas or even within buildings.
• Climate Control: The controlled environment of vertical farms ensures optimal growing conditions, leading to consistent and high-quality produce. This is especially important in the UAE, where extreme temperatures can hinder traditional farming.

The next step in our vertical farming project involves growing berries in our facilities. Despite the challenging conditions in the UAE, we are providing the ideal environment for their growth, including climate control, humidity, and light, similar to our other products. Research is underway and making good progress. Soon, berries will be included in our produce lineup.
